We are excited to share that Dr. Adam Schafer has joined Athinia™ as our new VP and Chief Operating Officer. He brings extensive knowledge and expertise to our team, and we are eager to have him contribute to our mission.
Before joining us, Dr. Schafer served as the Head of Supply Chain Strategy for the CHIPS for America program at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In this role, he played a crucial part in advancing semiconductor manufacturing in the United States. His focus included enhancing supply chain sustainability, resilience, and addressing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) matters. Additionally, he conducted supply chain due diligence for CHIPS-sponsored initiatives and oversaw direct support grants for semiconductor supply chain applications.
Dr. Schafer earned his B.S. in Chemistry and Philosophy from SUNY Oswego in 1994 and holds both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Washington.
