Athinia® has appointed Dr. Adam Schafer as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. Dr. Schafer will lead the company into its next phase of growth and expansion, succeeding Dr. Laura Matz, who has led the company since its founding in 2021.
Dr. Schafer joined Athinia® in November 2024 as Chief Operating Officer, bringing a wealth of experience to the role. Before joining Athinia®, he led the supply chain strategy for the CHIPS program office at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He also has over 22 years of experience in various leadership and engineering positions at Intel.
